"You cannot prove that God did not create you with your memories intact, just a split second ago."

God actually did something partially like this for the builders of the Tower of Babel. Think about it. These builders had memories in one language which were suddenly only accessible via another language. Their memories were the same, the meanings of the words were the same but the actual words were different.

Later in Acts chapter 2, we see the Spirit adding (not replacing) languages to the disciples' repertoire. What a strange feeling that would have been as well.

I'm not sure that the nature of our earthly reality can be 'proven' one way or the other, although it can be a fun topic to delve into if you have the time and the interest. And I like your father's question to your 7-year-old self. Must have had a profound effect for you to remember the conversation.

I realised quite some years ago that Nasa has lied repeatedly about the Moon missions and much else besides. Your guess is as good as mine as to why they would do such a thing. But then I can say the same about the many other lies we are told every day by politicians, media, etc.

None of this explains the shape of the earth of course. I doubt if any of us will ever know the truth about that (in this life) but I suspect it is much more marvellous than either the globe earth or flat earth theories seem to suggest.

What I do believe is that when I gaze up into the night sky, particularly when there is no light pollution around, I am somehow looking into infinity - into God in fact. Can't prove it of course but it's enough for me.

With your post, I was reminded about considering creation stories of other cultures (and mine too by relation in this case) ....this is a great creator, called Indigenous History Now, on Patreon and Youtube. https://youtu.be/9_PfzRP_DaM Survey of Indigenous American Creation Stories
