Yasssssss❣️ LOVE this. We put a lot of effort into removing toxins from our lives; toxic energy is part of this! (A big part - where I think we often don’t realize when it’s time to shift away from something, as you mention.) Been applying this approach to many things in this life experience lately…. Very much appreciate your candor and your light!

Thanks so for this post, Abby. For the last 10 years I lived with a woman and her son, who was about 8 when we got together. The Mom is and was in a constant state of worry and dramatic interaction with him, he was born premature and has health problems. This behavior seems to be counterbalanced by a certain lack of parenting, in that the boy was never to be criticized or punished for any wrongdoing. At some point I figured out that this state of constant crisis she felt for him, and his regular state of crisis, had become quite destructive to me, and that this dynamic was not going to end, ever. OK. Furthermore, I think her constant worry that 'he will die' or 'he is ill' is also quite destructive to the son as well, drama is the word. I had to sign off the whole thing and immediately felt a huge relief and return of my former energy, after a decade of trying to support that dynamic. It goes on without me just fine.
