Saying God is an act of rebellion
It does feel like walking on eggshells at times to say his name. No more!
I'm not messing around anymore trying to please other people, trying not to step on people’s toes. I’ve been speaking my truth much more confidently this past year or two, and this is one of those things that I have been, not so much hiding from, but been careful around speaking about in public. It does feel like walking on eggshells to say His name. No more!
I realised that using the word God is an act of rebellion because the powers that be, Empire, for want of a better word, don’t want you to believe in God. That’s been their purpose all along.
Religion took the word God and turned it into a scary old man sitting on a throne in the sky. An angry man who watches you all the time and gets angry if you make a mistake. The fear that's been placed onto God by religion is enough to put anyone off God for life. Religion is about control - how could a human being possibly connect directly to God? No, you need a priest. And a priest needs a priest too. Well, that’s a lie because anyone can connect to God, if they want to do it. See - rebellion is kind of cool, isn’t it?
The New Age Movement took the word God and dumbed it down, talking about Spirit, Source Energy, or a Grand Central Sun. Nice, but not as powerful, not powerful at all, in fact, when you say His name, that’s when you access the true power. It’s a distraction, a diversion - let the children play in the sandbox with toys, don’t give them anything real. No thanks, not for me.
No more lies.
We are powerful, and we have access to our power through God. It’s not so much a belief for me anymore as a knowing. God is real, God exists, and God flows through everything. God as Creator. God as the purest of the pure, God as life-force energy, God is the light. God as the dreamer of this dream that we are in.
Row, row, row your boat
Gently down the stream
Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily
Life is but a dream
As I’ve said above, mostly everything in this Earth is designed to put you off God. All the material pleasures and instant gratification will keep you away from God because it’s everything you’ve ever wanted, right? All here for you, for the taking. But it isn’t all you wanted, not really. You can have the things, but even with them all, deep down there’s something unsatisfied still, something that you can never fill this way.
The twisted logic, and pain and shame that has been placed onto the word God has been deliberate. God? You believe in God? You fool! If there was a God, then why do children suffer? Why do bad things happen to good people?
We did not come here to have everything handed to us on a plate.
This is Earth School - we came here to learn. And the lessons are not easy ones, not all of them. We come here to be tempered into better versions of ourselves. We come here to experience, on behalf of God, so that He can experience everything that is possible to experience, through us. So in its most simplistic form, bad things may happen to good people from time to time, because it stretches them, and teaches them, and perhaps it’s only our idea of them that sees them as good. We never know the whole of the story.
We have to find our way back to God, ourselves.
Now it’s time to reclaim our birthright. When we find our way back to God, we become whole. We don’t need the things. They lose any claim over us, and we lose our desire to stray into murky waters.
God is Truth. God is Love. And God is healing - all that healing that I do, is God coming through me, and out into you. You would rather give me permission to heal you then give God permission because you can see me, I am more real to you than He is. But once you connect wholeheartedly to God, you feel the love pouring through your entire body. And that’s so real. That is what heals. Try it!
The biggest obstacle between you and God, is you.
All I’m suggesting here that you think about what I’m saying.
Look at the amount of emotional baggage you carry around the word God, around the idea of him. Where did it come from? Do you need to perpetuate it? How does it serve you? What if this was the core of all of your feelings of disconnection? Of lack of belonging? What if connecting to God filled you up like nothing you’ve ever felt before? What if saying God truly is an act of rebellion?
When you connect to God, when you say “God, come into me,” loud, clear and strong, and mean it, something massive within you will shift. You will see through the matrix, and you will feel the love that is here for you.
Seriously. Once you heal this, there will be no stopping you!
Perhaps you have found Richard Rohr by now, but if not, I really, deeply recommend you read him :) His podcast, Another Name for Everything is glorious. His website is cac.org. Thanks for this!
True. Thank you.
Even those people and institutions that supposedly promote God are actually on the other side. The individual can find God him or herself. It's actually easy but it is presented to us as either pointless or impossible.
Just ask a question in your mind, like "If you exist at all, what do you want of me?" The answer will emerge through the fog of noise and babble that infects our minds. If we persist with our questions however, that fog will disappear.
