This morning I saw an article about a law that they want to pass in Northern Ireland that will take away people's freedom of choice, and freedom of informed consent. It's not the first article this week that I've seen of this kind - there are many horrific things going on in the world right now that appear to threaten our safety.
If you're in survival mode, you need to know if you are safe. It’s a need, not a want. But where do you go to find out? The internet.
The internet is designed to suck you in, suck out your life force, and, it can be addictive to keep checking - am I safe? Am I safe? Am I safe? If you’re asking the world if you are safe, well, there will always be a reason, or reason's, as to why you are not safe. The world will never make you feel safe because it is designed to do exactly the opposite. You have to pull away from the world, clear the fear out of your energy field, and give yourself the safe space that you are looking for.
Stay safe is one of the brainwashing statements that they use to confuse you and make you think they have the answers. We are programmed to find a sense of safety, programmed to look out for the dangers… They know this, that's why their propaganda works. Do you want to wash your hands of all of it? Hand washing was also used against us, may I add, until they realised that it wouldn’t make them any money. And in Ireland it's Autumn now, there's no getting away from the chill in the air. Flu season. Are you ready? They are.
Investing in your health is the best thing you can do. Invest in health, not in illness. Invest in your SELF. How? Take time away from The World. Frequent breaks. You have to find the discipline within yourself to do it. Discipline - a word we don’t hear much of, along with honour, goodness, sacredness and integrity. To have discipline, you must have will power. To have will power, you must have power. And that is the key.
I just finished reading a book called ‘Stolen Focus’. The first few chapters were very interesting - Johann Hari, the author, explained how the big tech companies designed social media platforms to keep us addicted to them. He talked with the inventor of ‘continuous scroll’ and other such addicting technologies. What was enlightening to me, was that some of the inventors realised what they had created, and had second thoughts. Some even petitioned Big Tech to change the use or eliminate their inventions. With no luck. Over the course of the book, the lack of power the author had over his environment became very obvious to me. About 2/3rds in, I couldn’t read any more, it was too painful; I ended up skipping to the end. The author did something I cannot do - he handed his authority, and his power, over to Big Pharma, and to Big Tech. His way of dealing with his stolen focus was to time-lock his phone into a safe, and to petition Big Tech to change addictive systems, to make them less addictive. We know they will not do this - it’s working for them all too well.
The systems will not change. We are the ones who have to change. We need to be disciplined to bring this into being. We need to take our power back, so we can use it combined with our will and intention, so we can turn off, and tune out. We can make choices and we can say no to all of it, when we have, and are in, our power.
As many of you know, I’m a spiritual teacher and healer, as well as writer of the occasional Substack. I can help you get your power back, and teach you how to keep it with you most of the time. I find that doing this needs to be a daily spiritual practice, which can be hard to do if you don’t have a clue what to do, or have the wherewithal to show up every day and do it. Let me help you!
21 days makes a new habit, that’s where my Raise Your Vibration Bootcamp programme comes in. I do the spiritual practices with you, every day, for 21 days. The next one starts next week on September 17th with a one hour opening webinar, and then daily exercises via an email for 21 days. These exercises are explained via audio and video files if needed, as well as text in an email. I show you what to do, step by step, to empower you in your own daily practice. We close with a closing webinar. There’s also a private Telegram group where participants can talk about how they are getting on, share insights, photos, and ask for help. Tickets for the live programme start at only €22 - I like to make this affordable and open to as many people as possible.
This is my 20th Bootcamp, I’ve been doing it for 10 years come this month. I wanted to celebrate by amalgamating the best of the previous bootcamp exercises, videos, audio files, etc, into book format. Qr codes bring you to the exercises on video and audio, so you don’t miss out. I’ve covered so many topics over the years - including healing self-worth, combatting addiction, becoming more creative, and healing aspects of your self to stop self-sabotage, increase self-confidence and self-worth, and to heal your inner child. I’m launching the book this week, too.
I’m only publishing this in paperback as I feel we need to disconnect from digital when we do our daily spiritual practice. And for the next bootcamp, I’m going to focus on taking our power back. Strengthening boundaries. And whatever else comes up for the group.

Together we can create what we want to see in OUR WORLD, rather than be swallowed up by The World. We can take our power back, and we can be stronger and better for it.
Another great head-scratcher that sets me thinking.
I have come to realise that we collude with those who want to disempower us, that we are not helpless victims of an omnipotent force. Even though I see evidence of this every day I have to keep reminding myself of this basic fact.
Nobody can force us to have a smartphone, to follow the 'news', etc., etc. We do these things because we want to. And we want to because we feel better as a result. Maybe we want to feel involved with our communities, to be 'normal', not to feel left out. The exact motive probably differs from person to person, I don't know.
I am not suggesting that we are not being manipulated by the tech companies, or whoever, into using their software and their hardware continuously. I am not suggesting that we are not prone to addictive behaviour. I believe I am suggestible enough to be manipulated. Not for a second do I think I am immune to the techniques being used against us.
So all I can do is to try to avoid the worst examples of the propaganda machine, like the mainstream media. Obviously I still use the Internet. How else could I be typing this? However I am trying to wean myself off that too.
I believe these innovations, whether newspapers or facebook, were created specifically as brainwashing tools, to get us to buy stuff we don't need, or for more sinister purposes. So the only way I can think of to prevent this indoctrination, this stealing of my focus as Abby puts it, is to turn away from the 'machine'. Or try anyway.
Been turning off my power at night-turning off the breaker on my effinghorred smart meter. Otherwise I cannot sleep well, and tend to wake up at 3 am or so. I think they are essentially stealing our focus at night, our ability to heal, which mostly happens at night. Try it, you'll like it. Good sleep. Still fighting the power company to get my old meter back, group lawsuits starting.
